Niobium products are obtained from metallurgy processes and because it enhances properties and functionality, Niobium is used in a wide range of materials, such as alloy steel and oxides, and applications in sectors like mobility, energy, and construction. As the world transitions towards a greener future, role of Niobium-enhanced nanocrystalline magnetic materials in applications like batteries, inverters/converters, on-board chargers, and charging stations becomes indispensable in driving innovation towards a more sustainable and electrified world.
Niobium can contribute to the creation of more efficient and sustainable energy solutions, be it through the advancement of next-generation batteries, or the development of powerful nanocrystalline magnetic materials. Through its diverse roles in energy storage, conversion, and transfer, Niobium is assuming a pivotal role in advancing the generation of cleaner energy, bringing us closer to a carbon-neutral future.
Due to expansion, they are seeking a senior Technical Market Development Specialist, a technical professional who understands the needs of the niobium oxides materials & applications market, possibly to translate those market needs into technical & go to market initiatives, with the focus of increasing the use of niobium applied technology in these markets. This for instance may be done by developing R&D projects, materials development, technical support or go-to-market activities (Pull & Push), with direct customers (Material Producers) or along the value chain with End Users and ecosystems.
The role is responsible for implementing technical go-to-market initiatives for the niobium oxides materials & applications market. Lead and develop the business front team aligned with Growth Plan KPIs. Integrate with the other New Materials & Applications Division areas in the direction of achieving the results of Growth Plan.
Experience with Nb containing materials & applications is appreciated. The main areas of activity are: Chemical Applications, Optical & Electronics Applications, Ceramics & Glasses Materials and Agriculture Chemicals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
TECHNICAL MARKET DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST NEW MATERIALS & APPLICATIONS - USA
Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall results (P&L) of the niobium oxides applications business front, defining goals, identifying deviations, defining action plans and ensuring their execution in the short-, medium- and long-term horizons.
- Manage the short, medium and long term of the go to market initiatives.
- Elaborate and implement globally the niobium value proposition and value-based approach for the niobium oxides applications
- Prospect, implement and monitor projects for technical evolution (TRL) necessary for the go to market development of demand for niobium oxides applications
- Identify and structure new business opportunities that accelerate the demand for niobium oxides applications
- Create long-term relationships with target customers and niobium oxides ecosystems
- Disseminate the niobium technology & materials applied to niobium oxides
- Represent the niobium oxides application team in the Board Technical & Strategy committee, C-Level and other internal meetings.
- Represents the New Materials & Applications Division with customers, end users, strategic partners and suppliers and niobium oxides entities
Requirements:
- University Degree in Engineering, Materials Science/ Desirable MBA preferred
- 7-10 years of experience in implementing Go to Market Strategy for Deep Technology
- People leadership & Team Building
- Technology Knowledge in Chemistry, Materials Science or Niobium Applied Technology of Niobium oxides Materials
