Types of Patient Served
The Operating Room (OR) is a 24 room surgical care area where the emphasis of care is on the preoperative and intraoperative phases of the patient’s perioperative experience.
Ages of Patients Served:
The Operating Room provides nursing care services, surgical and invasive procedures, to patients of all ages including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The services provided on the first and second floors, include General, Thoracic, Cardiac, Genito-Urinary, Pediatric, Maxillofacial, Orthopaedic, Plastic, Neurological, Anesthesia, Gynecological, Otolaryngological, Ophthalmological and Vascular procedures.
The two (2) Breast Procedure Rooms located on the 3rd floor of the 317 building are designated for outpatient Breast surgical procedures. Patients will receive Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC) for simple uncomplicated surgical procedures(low risk patients).
The practice of Perfusion is defined as those functions necessary for support, treatment, measurement or supplementation of the cardiopulmonary and circulatory system of the patient.
Scope and Complexity of Patient’s Care Needs:
Patient care is provided along the perioperative continuum, where the emphasis for the management of care is on the preoperative and intraoperative phase.
Criteria for Entry Admissions to Service:
Inpatient and outpatient surgery and procedures will be performed only upon request and scheduling by the primary surgeon. Inpatient pain management will be performed upon request and scheduled by the Anesthesiologist.
