Description:
The second floor PACU is a seventeen-bay unit, providing safe emergence from Anesthesia producing medications given to patients for surgical and invasive procedures. The Pre-operative Area on the second floor is a five bay unit with a capacity for 5-8 patients (#14 of of the PACU) as well as one Isolation Room (negative pressure) when necessary. In addition there is a 12 bay pre/post PACU located on the first floor that serves the same patient population.

Shifts 8HR shifts with rotating start times. First start is 07:30.

Qualifications of Staff Must have 2 years of PACU/ICU experience

A. Registered Nurse
• Current Basic Life Support
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (within 6 months of hire)
• Annual Cardiac and Critical Care Competency Validation
• Current Pediatric Life Support (PALS) with in 6MO
