Job Description: Medical Assistant

Our virtual medical assistants are usually responsible for the delivery of services or projects as contracted by our clients. The services or projects include scheduling and calendar management, verification of insurance coverage and benefits, dealing with correspondences. Other tasks can include:
Pre-exam verification of insurance eligibility, benefits and coverage
Securing treatment authorization
Submitting claims, responding to claim denials, and resolving issues
Identifying and finding solutions for common billing issues
Managing the phones by responding to patient inquiries, scheduling, taking pre-exam histories, confirming appointments, and transferring calls to other staff
Processing mail by posting it to the EHR and overseeing the appropriate follow-up

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Registered Nurse (RN) with strong analytical, charting, and comprehension abilities. In this role, the candidate will primarily focus on comprehensive charting tasks, with the documentation being sent to physicians for review. The position emphasizes minimal verbal interaction, with the majority (90%) of communication being written. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional attention to detail, proficiency in medical charting, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough analysis and assessments of patient conditions remotely.

Accurately document patient information using electronic health records (EHR) and other charting tools.

Prepare detailed and comprehensive charts, ensuring they meet established standards and protocols.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide essential information for physician review.

Emphasize written communication, with minimal verbal interaction during the charting process.

Ensure timely and accurate submission of charts to physicians for further assessment.

Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

Must have an active and unrestricted RN license in the United States (any state)

Proven experience in remote nursing roles with a focus on charting and documentation.

Excellent analytical and comprehension skills.

Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other charting software.

Strong written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information.

2 years of bedside care experience, required

Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records.
