Job Overview:

Connexzia is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Automation to drive sales growth for our packaging automation machinery across the SER region, primarily focusing on Georgia (GA) and Alabama (AL). This role is essential to increasing our market presence by selling capital equipment solutions tailored to the packaging industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in capital equipment sales, particularly within the packaging automation sector, and a proven ability to engage with clients, develop new business, and lead strategic sales initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: USD $115,000 to $125,000
  • Bonus Eligible: Yes

Candidate Details:

  • Experience: 5+ years in capital equipment sales, with at least 3 years in packaging automation.
  • Seniority Level: Associate
  • Management Experience: Not required
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to Travel: Required (frequent travel within the region)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales: Lead sales efforts across the designated region to meet and exceed revenue goals for packaging automation machinery.
  • Client Engagement: Build and manage strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their unique packaging automation needs, and providing customized solutions.
  • Business Development: Identify growth opportunities within the assigned territory by leveraging knowledge of the packaging industry and market trends.
  • Solution Selling: Offer tailored solutions that address clients' complete packaging automation requirements from initiation through to successful project completion.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan that aligns with company goals and drives consistent growth in the region.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development, engineering, and technical support, to ensure the smooth delivery of customer-centric solutions.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to stay informed about industry developments and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years in capital equipment sales, with at least 3 years of experience in packaging automation machinery.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of packaging automation machinery, including technical aspects of capital equipment sales.
  • Sales Acumen: Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets while managing a regional sales territory.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex automation solutions in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel regularly within the region for client meetings and industry events.

Preferred Skills:

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with key players and emerging trends within the packaging industry.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems for managing sales pipelines and maintaining customer relationships.
