Radiation Therapist

Location: Waxahachie, TX
Schedule: Full-Time (Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. You will be responsible for providing high-quality radiation therapy procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining efficient operations. You must be able to work at both Waxahachie, 75165 and Duncanville, 75137 locations based on the greatest need.

Essential Functions of the Role:

  • Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures in a timely manner, adhering to exam protocols.
  • Ensure production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and protocols.
  • Communicate with patients using the AIDET framework to ensure the correct exam is performed on the correct patient and establish rapport.
  • Instruct and guide patients and their families regarding the test and assess the patient's ability to tolerate the exam.
  • Prepare patients for the procedure by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and adjusting equipment controls.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, infection control policies, and radiation safety practices.
  • Maintain and clean equipment and the work area to meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and physicists to ensure the optimal operational capabilities of equipment.
  • Assist with inventory management and maintain proper documentation.

  • Ability to take on-call shifts as needed.

Qualifications:

Certification/License/Registration:

  • ARRT-T Radiation Therapy Certification: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-T).

Skills and Experience:

  • Required: 2+ years of experience in Radiation Therapy.
  • Security Clearance: Not required.
  • Visa: Not considered.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: USD $70,000 to $85,000 per year
  • Full-Time Benefits: Yes, including health insurance, retirement plans, etc.
  • Relocation Assistance: Possible for an ideal candidate.
