Job Description:
Position: Respiratory Therapist
Compensation:
- Salary: ($55,411.00 - $85,681.00 USD)
- Signing Bonus: $5,000 to $10,000 based on experience
- Relocation Package: Partial
Must-Have Qualifications:
1. Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Vermont (prior to start date)
2. Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program
3. New grads must achieve Registered Respiratory Therapist status through the NBRC within one year of hire; seasoned therapists must already have RRT status
4. Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
About the Role:
This position provides professional respiratory care to patients across various levels of health and illness. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans for adult ICU populations, general units, pediatric, and cystic fibrosis patients. The therapist must respond swiftly to emergent situations and maintain proficiency in both adult ICUs and general units. Charge or ED responsibilities may be assigned upon completion of relevant proficiencies.
Experience:
Both new grads and experienced therapists are welcome to apply.
Shift:
12-hour shifts (7 am 7 pm or 7 pm 7 am), three times a week, totaling 72 hours per pay period. Staff work every other weekend and rotate holidays. Multiple day and night positions are available.
Sign-On Bonus:
Eligible external candidates can receive a sign-on bonus:
- $5,000 for those with less than three years of related experience
- $10,000 for those with three or more years of experience
The bonus is split into two equal payments at the first pay and at six months.
