Location: Within 2-hour drive of the Thousand Islands, Lake Ontario, Adirondack Mountains, and world-class skiing in Lake Placid, NY. Conveniently near Canada, with Montreal and Ottawa just 2-3 hours away.

Experience Level: Mid-Senior
Experience Required: 5+ years in industrial electrical roles, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

Job Summary:
A prominent underground zinc mining operation is seeking an Industrial Electrician Supervisor to lead and manage its electrical team. This role is ideal for someone with strong electrical troubleshooting skills and leadership experience who is excited to oversee a talented team in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the electrical team, ensuring the daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate and prioritize daily tasks, maintaining inventory and ordering necessary materials for projects.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing electrical components, including PLC panels, drives, motors, transformers, pumps, generators, and VFDs.
  • Work with diverse electrical components, including 4-20 mA, 4160, 13.8, AC up to 480v, 5kva, and DC voltages.
  • Interpret and follow electrical schematics and prints.
  • Provide hands-on assistance both underground and on the surface as needed.
  • Develop knowledge in hoisting and crushing operations and troubleshoot these systems as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency with PLCs, DC/AC drives, and experience in electrical troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with other department managers and team members.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
