Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Technician to join a leading automotive manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and safety compliance of control systems, managing supplier development, and maintaining essential equipment through proactive troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify control system functionality and compliance with safety standards by designing and executing test procedures.
- Prepare and review electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls drawings in collaboration with engineering teams to assess components, materials, and suppliers.
- Maintain integrity of data collection for processes and builds.
- Serve as a technical resource for manufacturing, process, and engineering teams by responding to questions and requests.
- Conduct periodic equipment audits, troubleshoot breakdowns, manage preventive maintenance plans, and initiate process improvements.
- Maintain accurate project documentation using standardized tools and templates.
- Oversee supplier development and ensure timely delivery of parts and components.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, with strong knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and heat induction systems.
- Experience in preventive maintenance planning.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma required; bachelors degree not necessary.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in electrical controls within an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Special Requirements: Must wear steel-toe boots, flame-resistant (FR) uniform, safety glasses, and ear plugs.
Additional Details:
- 100% onsite role
- No relocation assistance or visa sponsorship
- Must have availability to work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
