Job Description Summary
We are seeking a Clinical Manager for the Abdominal Transplant Program to lead a dedicated team in delivering top-quality transplant services. This role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, staff development, and patient care standards. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, the Clinical Manager will drive initiatives to enhance transplant services and support strategic growth.
Position Overview
As the Clinical Manager for the Abdominal Transplant Program, you will oversee daily operations, ensure quality care, and implement best practices. This role involves managing a team of approximately 60 staff members and collaborating with medical and nursing teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage clinical operations, overseeing staff and ensuring quality patient care.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and procedures to support the transplant program.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
- Engage in strategic planning for program expansion and service improvements.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including Texas Board of Nursing policies.
- Promote a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to institutional standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (required). Magnet-designated hospitals require a Bachelors in Nursing at hire.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current Texas Nursing License or temporary/compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Professional certification in the clinical area or management preferred.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Liver/Kidney Transplant or similar clinical area.
- 1+ years in a supervisory or management role, with an additional 2 years preferred for Clinical Manager II roles.
Principal Accountabilities
- Manage daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and patient care.
- Collaborate with other departments to support program objectives and high-quality care.
- Monitor regulatory compliance and maintain program standards.
- Oversee staff performance, recruiting, and training as needed.
- Lead program initiatives in patient experience, quality improvement, and strategic planning.
