CRT/RRT - FT Night
Job Description:
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide high-quality care across our network of hospitals and outpatient clinics. Your role will include delivering respiratory therapies, evaluating care plans, and educating patients and their families.
Signing Bonus: $10,000
Bonus Description: One-time sign-on bonus upon hire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure lung capacity and analyze blood samples using blood gas analyzers.
- Perform bedside pulmonary function tests, EKGs, and tobacco cessation education as ordered by the provider.
- Administer and evaluate response to respiratory therapies per the patients plan of care.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, providing updates to the care team as needed.
- Respond to codes and emergency calls, delivering appropriate respiratory treatments.
- Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions, community resources, and support groups.
- Maintain and stock respiratory care supplies and equipment, including cleaning and preventive maintenance.
- Evaluate and improve respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes and research.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of a CRT or RRT program (Bachelors degree preferred).
- Licensure: Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care License required.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 60 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days of hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within 90 days of hire.
