Renal Nurse Supervisor

 Job Description:

The Renal Nurse Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership and support for the clinical staff in outpatient dialysis clinics. Working closely with the Nurse Manager and Director of Renal Services, this role ensures effective staffing, adherence to departmental policies, and fosters a collaborative work environment. The position includes both management and occasional direct patient care responsibilities to maintain clinical expertise.

Bonus Description: Up to $30,000 in Sign on Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to clinical staff, ensuring high standards of patient care.
  • Develop and oversee staffing plans, ensuring adequate resources for clinic operations.
  • Facilitate team building and foster professional relationships among staff.
  • Monitor adherence to defined departmental policies and processes, offering guidance and feedback as needed.
  • Oversee the orientation and onboarding of new staff members.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Provide direct patient care as required to maintain clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Manager and Director to implement and manage renal services programs.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure/Certification: Active RN license in the state of employment.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with a preference for dialysis or renal care.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing or equivalent; Masters degree preferred.
  • Skills: Leadership, staffing management, and policy adherence monitoring.

Must-Haves

  1. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in dialysis or renal care.
  3. Experience in team leadership, staffing, and performance management.
  4. Strong understanding of renal services operations, policies, and processes.

Nice-To-Haves

  1. Bachelors or Masters degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.
  2. Experience in staff education and team-building initiatives.
  3. Prior experience conducting performance evaluations.
