Process Engineer III

Job Description:

The Process Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the erection, commissioning, and start-up of SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) projects. This role requires a deep understanding of copper and aluminum rod mills and SCR systems. The engineer will manage all aspects of the project, from planning and scheduling to coordination with the customer and sub-suppliers.

Travel Required: Up to 50% (International)

Bonus Description: Some candidates opt for a signing bonus over relocation (Negotiable)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the installation and start-up of SCR systems.
  • Serve as a site engineer, project coordinator, and start-up engineer.
  • Develop new equipment and techniques for improved SCR performance, including hardware and software evaluations.
  • Transfer operational knowledge to SCR customers through training, publications, and presentations.
  • Provide expertise and training to new employees on SCR processes.
  • Suggest improvements for SCR equipment and processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Respond to technical inquiries from existing and prospective customers.
  • Produce daily progress reports during start-ups and field service visits.
  • Write detailed trip reports following customer visits to ensure clear communication.

Must-Haves:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
  2. Proven experience in process engineering and project management, particularly in SCR systems.
  3. Strong ability to manage and supervise the installation, commissioning, and start-up of complex systems.
  4. Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements.
  5. Strong communication skills, both technical and interpersonal.


Skills:

  • Strong ability to interpret technical design documents, such as vendor drawings and operation manuals.
  • Capable of managing project timelines and completing tasks with a focus on success.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle a wide variety of tasks and evolving project demands.
  • Ability to learn and use AutoCAD (while not required, its a desirable skill).

Educational Development:

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Fluency in one or more of the following languages is desirable: Hindi, Chinese, Arabic, or Russian.

Physical, Mental, and Visual Effort:

  • International travel up to 50%, with trips lasting several weeks at a time.
  • Ability to work with diverse international customers and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Supervision:

  • Works with minimal supervision to manage a wide variety of project tasks and responsibilities.

Reporting:

  • Responsible for managing extensive project documentation, including procedures and manuals.
  • Must be able to quickly recall, locate, summarize, and communicate technical answers to questions posed by customers.

Planning:

  • Responsible for planning project erection and commissioning timelines and tasks.
