Position: Ultrasound Technician

Location: Georgetown, KY
Schedule: Full-time

Signing Bonus: Negotiable 

2 Schedules Available- please indicate candidates interest when submitting

Option 1

• 8:30a-5p- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
• will take call: 1 day a week, 1 weekend a month

Option 2

• 7a-7p- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• will take call: 1 day a week, 1 weekend a month

As an Ultrasound Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate and high-quality patient care while performing essential diagnostic imaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, ensuring comfort and a clear understanding of the process.
• Perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams, including routine and advanced invasive procedures following established protocols.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, keeping it in optimal working condition.
• Maintain an organized workspace, manage supplies, and keep accurate patient records.
• Support radiologists with interventional procedures such as paracentesis, needle aspirations, and biopsies.
• Assist in scheduling and optimizing patient flow.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or Ultrasonography (Required)
• Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Certifications (Required within 10 days of hire)

Must have one of the following:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Sonography (S) or Vascular Sonography (VS)
• ARRT (R) with a KY License
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS)

Additionally, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Skills

• Strong critical thinking skills, effective decision-making, and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure, with the capability to take appropriate action in a high-stress environment.
