Business Development Manager – Charter Services

Location: Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
Salary: AUD 80,000 per annum (plus benefits)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to grow its charter aviation business across Papua New Guinea.

This role is focused on identifying new charter opportunities, developing long-term relationships with corporate and government clients, and increasing revenue through strategic business development. You will play a key role in expanding charter operations across the mining, oil & gas, government, tourism and resource sectors.

Working closely with Commercial, Operations and Flight Operations teams, you will ensure charter solutions are commercially viable, operationally achievable and delivered to the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new charter business opportunities
• Develop relationships with corporate, government and resource sector clients
• Prepare and negotiate charter proposals and commercial agreements
• Develop customised charter solutions to meet client requirements
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
• Achieve monthly and annual revenue targets
• Collaborate with Flight Operations and Airport Operations to deliver customer requirements
• Represent the company at industry events and client meetings
• Maintain accurate CRM records and business forecasts

Requirements

• Proven business development or sales experience within aviation
• Experience selling charter aviation services is highly desirable
• Strong commercial negotiation and presentation skills
• Experience managing key corporate accounts
• Ability to identify new market opportunities
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Strong commercial acumen and results-driven approach
• Willingness to travel as required

Highly Desirable

• Experience within PNG or emerging markets
• Existing relationships within mining, oil & gas, government or resource industries
• Aviation commercial background
