Position Overview:

Connect Talent Solutions, one of Hampton Roads fastest growing companies is seeking a dynamic and motivated Project Engineer with 0-3 years of experience to join our team and support our Project Manager in the successful execution of construction projects. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and have a solid understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), reviewing drawings, and maintaining project schedules to ensure the timely and efficient completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to understand project goals, scope, and requirements.

- Assist in reviewing and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.

- Proactively respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from various stakeholders, providing accurate and timely information to ensure clarity in project execution.

- Maintain organized records of all RFIs, responses, and other relevant project correspondence.

- Contribute to the development and maintenance of project schedules, tracking milestones, deadlines, and critical path activities.

- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

- Support the identification and resolution of potential issues or conflicts that may impact project progress.

- Gain a deep understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems within the context of construction projects.

- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure coordination and integration of HVAC and plumbing systems into the overall project.

- Assist in the coordination of construction activities, ensuring that work is executed in accordance with project plans and specifications.

- Participate in site visits to monitor construction progress and verify compliance with project requirements.

- Contribute to the preparation of progress reports, project documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

- 0-3 years of relevant professional experience in construction projects.

- Solid knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems and their integration within construction projects.

- Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively manage project documentation.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.

- Proficiency in project scheduling and management tools is a plus.

- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
