Role and Responsibilities: As an HVAC Mechanical Helper, you will play a crucial role in assisting our experienced professionals with various tasks related to mechanical contracting projects. You will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to the successful execution of projects while gaining valuable hands-on experience. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Assistance and Support: Provide support to skilled technicians and mechanics by assisting with the setup, cleanup, and maintenance of job sites, tools, and equipment.
  2. Material Preparation: Assist in preparing materials, tools, and supplies needed for projects, ensuring they are organized and readily available.
  3. Project Progress: Aid in tasks such as carrying and moving equipment, materials, and tools, contributing to the overall efficiency of projects.
  4. Safety Awareness: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe work environment and reporting any hazards or concerns.
  5. Learning and Development: Observe and learn from experienced professionals, gaining insights into mechanical systems, industry standards, and best practices.
  6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including progress reports and any relevant documentation.
  7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members, learning from their expertise and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and developing practical skills in the mechanical contracting industry.
  • Willingness to take direction and assist skilled technicians and mechanics.
  • Basic understanding of tools and equipment commonly used in mechanical work.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Dedication to safety protocols and practices.
  • Ability to pass drug screenings.
  • Ability to pass background checks, obtain security clearances and work on jobsites where minor children are present.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Reliable transportation to/from jobsites a requirement.
  • Ability to prove U.S. employment eligibility and provide required documentation for same.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, carrying, and working in various environments.
  • Ability to work extended hours (nights/weekends) when necessary.
