Instrument & Control Inspector
Job Description:
Education: Diploma or degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or a related field.
Experience: More than 5 years in a similar position and similar field

REQUIRED WORKING SKILLS/QUALIFICATION/CERTIFICATION
- Inspect installation and functionality of instrumentation and control systems, including sensors, transmitters, control valves, and actuators.
- Conduct functional tests and performance evaluations to verify system accuracy and reliability.
- Calibrate instruments to ensure accuracy according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Verify compliance with technical drawings, data sheets, and project requirements.
- Prepare inspection reports, test records, and documentation of calibration activities.
- Identify and document non-conformities or deficiencies and propose corrective actions.
- Ensure systems adhere to safety codes, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
- Verify that installations align with project specifications and industry standards.
- Work closely with engineering, construction, and operations teams to address issues.
- Assist in commissioning and startup activities.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation devices, control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA), and associated equipment.
- Familiarity with standards such as ISA, IEC, or API.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for reporting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Optional but beneficial certifications such as ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) or similar.
- Certified Automation Professional (CAP) or similar is an advantage.
- NDT Level II/III or Hazardous Area Certification (e.g., CompEx) is preferred.
