 Job Description:

REQUIRED WORKING SKILLS/QUALIFICATION/CERTIFICATION

  1. Knowledge of the technical issues related to the installation of cables, flexibles, and umbilicals and the capability to develop a logical and step-by-step procedure for their installation accounting for the various available equipment and their technical and operational limits.
  2. Knowledge of the technical issues related to the launching, upending, lifting, and set-down of jackets and capability to develop a logical and step-by-step procedure for their installation accounting for the various available equipment and their technical and operational limits.
  3. Knowledge of technical issues related to the load-out, transportation, and sea-fastening of offshore cargos and capability to develop a logical and step-by-step procedure for securing accounting for the various available equipment and their technical and operational limits.
  4. Knowledge of the technical issues related to the shore approaches activities and capability to develop a logical and step-by-step procedure for their execution accounting for the various available equipment and their technical and operational limits.
  5. Knowledge of the technical issues related to the float-over activities and capability to develop a logical and step-by-step procedure for their execution accounting for the various available equipment and their technical and operational limits.
  6. Knowledge of the technical issues related to the topside lifting and set-down activities and capability to develop a logical and step-by-step procedure for their execution accounting for the various available equipment and their technical and operational limits.
  7. Knowledge of the technical issues related to the installation activities for wind turbines or other green resource items and capability to develop a logical and step-by-step procedure for their execution accounting for the various available equipment and their technical and operational limits.
  8. Knowledge of the physical principles and the main equipment to grant the station keeping of offshore construction vessels and the capability to develop the most appropriate procedure and select the most suitable equipment for meeting the minimum operational requirements.
  9. Knowledge of the technical issues related to the decommissioning of offshore structures (jackets and topsides) and capability to develop a logical and step-by-step procedure for their removal accounting for the various available equipment and their technical and operational limits.
  10. Knowledge of the technical issues related to the completion activities (AWTI, underwater tie-ins, riser and spool installation, stalk-on, etc.) of rigid pipelines and capability to develop a logical and step-by-step procedure for their execution accounting for the various available equipment and their technical and operational limits.
  11. Knowledge of the technical issues related to the installation of rigid pipelines with the S-Lay and Steep S-Lay method and capability to develop a logical and step-by-step procedure for its implementation accounting for the various available equipment and their technical and operational limits.
  12. Knowledge of Discipline engineering design criteria, methods, and workflows from the conceptual phase up to the site engineering phase. Capability to define the technical documents set based on Project quantities and scope of work. Capability to perform and coordinate Project engineering documents production activities and to check and review design documents, prepared either internally or by Vendors.
  13. Knowledge of tools related to 2D and 3D modeling activities.
  14. Knowledge of supply chain processes (engineering, purchasing, production, fabrications, assembling, packing, transportation, clearing through customs, preservation, and installation).
  15. Ability to focus on Project objectives and Purchase Order requirements in terms of performance, quantities and quality characteristics, time schedule, and cost (expediting, quality control during manufacturing stages, shipping and customs activities of purchased goods). Ability to plan, coordinate, execute, monitor, and improve order process for goods.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTIONS

  1. Report to Offshore Method Lead.
  2. Perform 2D drafting tasks and simple 3D modeling tasks assigned by the project within schedule and with due respect to Quality requirements related to design, verification, testing, or study activities.
  3. Interface with other Draftsmen and reports on a continuous basis to Offshore Structural Project Specialist Lead, Engineers, and Designers.
  4. Verify at any time that the input information used for the work assigned is keeping up with the project development and warn the Designers, Engineers, or Structural Project Specialist Lead on any detected anomaly.
  5. Carry out simple 3D modeling tasks with Tekla (or other similar 3D CAD tools, as requested)
  6. Carry out design drawings for installation sequences, operation equipment utilization, and vessels' general layout.
  7. Prepare bill of materials or materials to take off for requisitions.
  8. Ensure the quality of documents he produces by a permanent and adequate self-check.
  9. Sign the documents produced.
  10. Inform all people concerned by the modifications resulting from the documents produced.
  11. Ensure, when required, the verification of documents produced by another Draftsman of the team.
  12. Update the documents produced after comments issued by other disciplines (inter-discipline checks) or external stakeholders on the project (Clients, Yards, Third-party review, etc.)
  13. Apply, during the work assigned, the relevant provisions of the Quality Control Procedure.
