Site Planner Engineer
Job Description:
Connect Energy is partnering with an engineering consultancy firm to look for a Site Planner to take on the PMC role for a Biofuel project in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera 6, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify resource requirements, allocate resources efficiently, and optimize resource utilization to meet project goals.
- Conduct critical path analysis using P6 to identify key milestones, dependencies, and potential bottlenecks that may impact project timelines.
- Implement systems to track project progress, regularly updating schedules to reflect actual performances, and providing timely reports to project stakeholders.
- Identify and assess potential risks to the project schedule, proposing mitigation strategies and adjustments as needed.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to integrate project schedules with overall project plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives
- Provide regular update on schedule progress
- Build project schedule adheres to the project execution plan and in particular contracting, procurement and construction and identify potential risks that may cause delay to the project.
- Ensure clear responsibility and ownership for all project deliverables as defined via Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Assess the impact of changes on project schedules, and update plans accordingly, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of adjustments.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent
- Min. 8 years experience as Planning Engineer/ Scheduler for oil and gas project, preferably greenfield projects.
- Expert in P6
- Understand of construction management, engineering processes and flow starting from Engineering design, Procurement and Construction.
- Capable of working independently from a scheduling perspective and expected to participate and contribute to the team environment
- A good team player with strong analytical skills.
- Able to commit 2 years contract
