HSSE Inspector
Job Description:
The HSSE Inspector will be working on a subsea pipelay project in Bukom island for a year contract.
Responsibilities
- Reports to CSR at Site.
- Functionally, he reports to HSSE Lead.
- Interfaces with EPCI contractor to ensure adherence to the approved HSSE Plan & Procedure (e.g. Permit to Work (PtW), Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP))
- Monitors safety performance of the EPCI construction work and report back safety audit and intervention outcome (e.g. Unsafe Act/Unsafe Condition (UA/UC))
- Implements the HSSE & SP Plan at Site to secure Projects Goal ZERO.
- Proactively supports and embeds Projects Goal ZERO for HSSE at Site, e.g. through Site safety surveillance, Toolbox Talk, etc.
- Acts as Authorized Person for HSSE at Site.
- Supports and challenges the Site Management Team to build an authentic leadership culture to deliver Goal Zero and Respect for People
- Proactively engages the EPCI Contractor to manage and mitigate HSSE risks that impact HSSE, Quality, cost and schedule.
- Acts as Risk Owner for all HSSE risks at Site.
- Responsible for identifying and implementation of risk mitigation measures for HSSE issues at Site.
- Ensures that HSSE efforts with the EPCI Contractor is coordinated such that work interfaces and HSSE issues are closely tracked and expediently closed out to safeguard HSSE, cost and delivery schedule.
- Acts as the Project HSSE Focal point at Site.
Requirements
- Strong HSSE inclination a must.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- At least 5 years as a qualified HSE Inspector.
- Past experience as Site HSE Inspector or similar a must.
- Past experience on International Offshore Construction projects an advantage.
- Possess all necessary HSE qualifications to meet Singapore Regulatory Requirements.
- Past experience on offshore installation vessels an advantage.
- Familiarity with diving and ROV an added advantage.
