Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Systems Supervisor to provide day‑to‑day leadership for Quality Assurance programs within a USDA‑regulated food manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all food safety, regulatory, and quality systems are executed with precision, consistency, and full compliance. The supervisor leads QA technicians, oversees HACCP and environmental monitoring programs, and partners closely with operations to maintain product integrity, regulatory readiness, and a culture of food safety.

Requirements:
Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Lead daily execution of HACCP, Food Safety Plans, and prerequisite programs.
- Oversee pathogen‑control activities, including verification, validation, and corrective actions.
- Ensure full compliance with USDA/FSIS regulations, directives, and documentation requirements.
- Maintain audit‑ready records for internal, customer, and regulatory inspections.
Quality Systems & Process Control
- Support traceability, hold/release, and crisis‑readiness activities.
- Investigate non‑conformances, deviations, and customer complaints; drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor and verify process controls, CCPs, sanitation effectiveness, and environmental monitoring results.
- Maintain and update quality manuals, SOPs, and work instructions to reflect current regulatory and customer standards.
Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Supervise, train, and develop QA Technicians and Senior QA Technicians.
- Communicate quality expectations, trends, and risks to internal stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline.
- Partner with production, sanitation, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure consistent execution of quality and food safety programs.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication across all levels of the facility.
- High attention to detail and commitment to food safety culture.
- Ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced, high‑risk manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them operationally.
- 2–4 years of experience in a USDA‑regulated food manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated leadership in HACCP, food safety systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Hands‑on experience with pathogen control, environmental monitoring, and sanitation oversight.
- Strong understanding of documentation, traceability, and crisis‑management protocols.
- Experience supervising or leading teams in a manufacturing or blue‑collar environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Animal Science, or a related scientific field.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with beef or protein processing environments.
- Continuous improvement mindset (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar exposure)
- Knowledge of microbiological testing, sampling plans, and laboratory methods.
- Advanced HACCP certification, internal auditor training, or SQF Practitioner credentials.
