Hydraulic Cylinder Repair Technician

Our client is seeking a Hydraulic Cylinder Repair Technician. This role is responsible for the repair and rebuild of hydraulic cylinders and related mechanical components. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, precision measurement skills, and the ability to work from blueprints and repair specifications. This is a hands-on, detail‑oriented position within an industrial environment requiring accuracy, consistency, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Work Schedule: 7:00AM-3:30PM

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret mechanical schematics and blueprints.
• Utilize quality tools to ensure accuracy and consistency in repairs.
• Support general mechanical tasks and shop operations as needed.
• Identify worn or damaged components and determine appropriate repair actions.
• Maintain organized repair documentation and follow established safety procedures.
• Perform hydraulic cylinder teardown and rebuild, including inspection, cleaning, and resealing.
• Conduct precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify tolerances.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Reliable, safety‑focused work habits.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and repair instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and familiarity with standard hand tools.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
• Mechanical repair experience (3+ years) in industrial, automotive, heavy equipment, or similar environments.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Direct hydraulic cylinder repair experience (teardown, reseal, honing, rod polishing)
• Experience with hydraulic systems, seals, and troubleshooting leaks or pressure issues.
