Our client is seeking a Technician Manager to oversee daily operations of the equipment service team, ensuring all repairs, preventative maintenance, and calibrations meet quality, safety, and turnaround standards. This role blends hands‑on technical work with leadership responsibilities, including workflow oversight, scheduling, training, and quality control.
The Manager serves as the primary liaison between technicians and operations leadership, maintaining workflow efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high service quality.

Work Schedule: 7:00AM–3:30PM or 8:00AM–4:30PM (CST)
Requirements:
- Serve as escalation point for technical or workflow issues.
- Support equipment audits, compliance checks, and safety reviews.
- Train and mentor technicians on procedures, safety, and best practices.
- Manage inventory levels, parts ordering, and coordination with Purchasing.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of 4–6 Biomedical Equipment Technicians.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and related respiratory devices.
- Assign daily work orders, monitor progress, and ensure turnaround targets are met.
- Conduct quality checks and documentation reviews to ensure adherence to SOPs, OEM standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Operations leadership to identify and implement process improvements.
Qualifications/Must-Haves:
- At least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Experience managing production metrics and daily output.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to diagnose, repair, and verify performance of biomedical devices.
- Proficiency with service documentation systems and Microsoft Office.
- Associate degree or equivalent technical training required, bachelors preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and respiratory equipment.
- Understanding of operational cost drivers (labor hours, parts usage, throughput)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in biomedical equipment repair or durable medical equipment service.
Work Environment:
- Occasional travel for training or support.
- Combination of shop and office environments.
- Moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and routine use of tools and diagnostic equipment.
