Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery, including hydraulic and pneumatic presses, mechanical systems, and basic electrical equipment in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. This role requires a valid Journeyman card, strong mechanical aptitude, and hands‑on experience with industrial equipment.

Requirements:

  • Initiate purchase orders for parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Install, align, and test new or rebuilt machine components.
  • Perform basic PLC troubleshooting (I/O checks, fault identification)
  • Operate lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses to fabricate or repair parts.
  • Dismantle machinery to access, repair, or replace defective components.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues by observing equipment operation, listening for irregularities, and using diagnostic tools.
  • Inspect and measure parts to determine wear, damage, or dimensional changes.
  • Adjust, align, and calibrate mechanical components and control instruments.
  • Perform repairs or replacements on motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, and production equipment.
  • Conduct basic electrical troubleshooting and repair (motors, sensors, switches, wiring)
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic presses, including cylinders, valves, pumps, and controls.

Qualifications/Must-Haves:

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Associates degree or equivalent technical training preferred.
  • Basic electrical repair experience (motors, sensors, wiring)
  • Valid Journeyman card in an approved mechanical or electrical trade.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic presses.
  • Ability to arc weld and operate lathes, mills, and other metalworking tools.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an assembly, industrial, or manufacturing maintenance environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and basic PLC logic.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with CMMS systems.
  • Experience with press rebuilds or heavy industrial equipment.
  • Experience in electrical/electronic manufacturing environments.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb, kneel, crouch, or work in confined spaces.
  • Regular standing, walking, reaching, and handling tools or parts.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Visual acuity for close work, color identification, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment:

  • Must be available for overtime as needed.
  • Moderate to high noise levels typical of a manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, elevated areas, and occasional chemicals.
