Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Specialist) to support a highly automated food and beverage manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The technician will perform preventative and predictive maintenance, support equipment uptime, and follow strict GMP and safety standards.

Compensation: $61,000–$70,000 + OT + Production Bonuses

Weekend Day Shift: 6AM-6:30PM | 12‑hour shifts

Rotating Schedule:

  • Week 1: Thu–Sun
  • Week 2: Fri–Sun
  • Mandatory monthly OT (16 hrs.) + optional additional OT

Requirements:

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Support production teams by responding to equipment failures and minimizing downtime.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues involving motors, pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, and related systems.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Follow SOPs, GMP requirements, and quality guidelines.
  • Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and repair documentation.

Facility & Utility Support

  • Assist with minor building and facility repairs as needed.
  • Work safely around utilities such as compressors, HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, or wastewater systems (experience helpful but not required)

Safety & Quality

  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and environmental procedures.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
  • Support a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications/Must-Haves:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of industrial mechanical or maintenance experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical production equipment.
  • Ability to read manuals, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work 12‑hour shifts, weekends, and required overtime.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or other GMP‑regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with P&IDs, process flow diagrams, or automated production systems.
  • Exposure to multi‑trade maintenance (HVAC, compressors, refrigeration, welding, plumbing, or similar)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, regulated manufacturing environment.
