About the job Maintenance Technician II – Industrial Manufacturing (3rd Shift)
Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to support manufacturing operations by performing multi‑craft maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on production equipment. This role focuses on equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced industrial manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical skills and is confident working on complex machinery.

Work Schedule: 11:00PM–7:00AM | 3rd Shift
Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Install, align, and adjust mechanical drive components.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and OEM manuals.
- Test electrical systems using meters such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using systematic troubleshooting methods.
- Repair motors, conveyors, gearboxes, drive systems, and other production machinery.
- Repair or replace wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting, and related components.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Support reliability efforts through PdM techniques when applicable.
- Complete assigned PM tasks, including major service and equipment overhauls.
- Maintain lubrication schedules and ensure proper functioning of moving components.
- Document maintenance activities in the CMMS for historical tracking and planning.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in problem‑solving teams and improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor junior technicians and operators on proper equipment care.
- Recommend process or equipment improvements based on observed performance.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Support compliance with company environmental and operational standards.
Qualifications/Must-Haves:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and use precision measuring devices.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and OEM manuals.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment (drill press, band saw, etc.)
- Experience using CMMS systems and basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Willingness to complete a 2–2.5 hour online technical assessment.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience.
Preferred Skills:
- 2‑year technical degree or equivalent training.
- Experience mentoring or training other technicians.
- Background in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Exposure to PLC troubleshooting (basic) or industrial automation is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
- Ability to lift, bend, climb, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work around moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
