Our client is seeking an experienced Construction/Project Manager 2 to support one of its largest energy accounts in Houston, TX. This role serves as a key member of the Design & Construction Management team and works closely with project managers, capital project teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of construction and renovation projects.
The Construction/Project Manager 2 oversees project schedules, contractual obligations, cost estimates, subcontractor coordination, and project execution across design, construction, and implementation phases.

Requirements:
- Lead and participate in job progress meetings.
- Manage quality control and safety compliance.
- Ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.
- Develop and manage project schedules for assigned capital projects.
- Communicate project progress, issues, and financial status to management.
- Review contractual scope of work and assess impacts of client bulletins, field directives, and schedule changes.
- Identify and pursue additional work through change orders; prepare cost estimates, proposals, and negotiate final pricing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Oversee construction management activities including scheduling, financial tracking, and documentation.
- Support project engineering tasks, ensuring design and specifications meet required codes.
- Coordinate subcontractors and maintain project documentation, meeting minutes, and customer communications.
Qualifications/Must-Haves:
- OSHA 30 certification, or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.
- Working knowledge of MS Project, Procore, and Bluebeam (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of management experience leading teams or subcontractors.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe Writer)
- Ability to work effectively in environments with ambiguity or evolving processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum 5 years of Construction/Project Management experience, including work in: New Construction, Renovations, MEP Infrastructure, Critical Environments (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations, or engineering services.
