About the job Senior EHS Specialist | Supervisor – Manufacturing (On-Site)
Our client is seeking a Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist | Supervisor to lead site‑level EHS programs and drive a proactive safety culture. This role owns regulatory compliance, risk reduction initiatives, training programs, and continuous improvement efforts across a complex manufacturing environment.
You will partner closely with operations, engineering, and facilities teams to ensure safe processes, compliant operations, and strong environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities:
- Track and report key EHS metrics to site leadership.
- Lead emergency preparedness and response planning.
- Deliver new‑hire, annual, and task‑specific safety training.
- Coordinate internal audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and manage the site's Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) program.
- Manage EHS reporting, recordkeeping, permits, and regulatory submissions.
- Conduct hazard assessments, job safety analyses, and risk‑mitigation activities.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state/local regulations.
- Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analyses, and corrective action programs.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, and training.
- Monitor workplace conditions and identify opportunities for safety and environmental improvement.
- Support engineering, manufacturing, and facilities teams on EHS considerations for new processes, equipment, and facility changes.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Ability to lead audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing EHS programs, policies, and training.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field OR equivalent hands‑on experience.
- 3–5+ years of EHS experience in regulated manufacturing (medical device, biotech, pharmaceutical, electronics, or other highly regulated production environments)
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with EHS management systems, LMS platforms, and reporting tools.
- Professional certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM, OSHA 30/500) are beneficial but not required.
- Experience supporting complex equipment, high‑hazard operations, or regulated technical environments.
