About the job Regional Sales Manager – Industrial Pump & Control Systems
Our client is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive channel sales growth across the Southeast region. This role focuses on managing distributor relationships, developing key account strategies, and expanding market coverage for mechanical and electrical equipment solutions. The RSM will support channel partners with technical and commercial guidance, manage the sales pipeline, and execute regional growth plans.

Compensation: $70,000 base salary + commission + $9,000 annual car allowance
Territory Southeast Region: AL, FL, GA, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA (This is a remote, field‑based role that requires frequent travel throughout the assigned states)
Responsibilities:
Channel & Territory Management
- Develop and execute channel sales strategies and key account plans.
- Achieve or exceed annual sales and order targets for the assigned region.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with existing distributors and channel partners.
- Identify gaps in regional coverage and recruit new channel partners to expand market reach.
- Lead onboarding and integration of new partners to ensure alignment with product offerings and sales processes.
Sales Execution & Support
- Assist partners in preparing accurate technical and commercial quotations for end customers.
- Maintain detailed account plans with goals, objectives, and quotas aligned to regional growth strategies.
- Provide technical and commercial support to channel partners, including pricing guidance and application knowledge.
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Log all sales activities, calls, and customer interactions in the CRM platform.
- Manage and update the sales pipeline to ensure accurate forecasting and visibility.
- Track customer engagement and follow‑up actions to support ongoing opportunities.
Market Engagement
- Attend industry trade shows, customer visits, and regional events.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform sales strategy.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support customer needs and resolve issues.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Proficiency with ERP systems and CRM platforms.
- Experience in a mechanical or electrical manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Minimum 7 years of outside sales experience or distributor/channel partner management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical submersible pumps and electrical control panels.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the Southeast region and internationally.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience selling through distributors or channel partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with OSHA compliance and industrial safety practices.
- Background with industrial pump, fluid‑handling, or rotating equipment manufacturers.
