About the job District Manager – Healthcare Technology Management | Clinical Engineering
Our client is seeking a District Manager, Biomedical Engineering to serve as the senior leader overseeing Healthcare Technology Management (HTM)/Clinical Engineering operations for a large, multi‑hospital academic health system. The District Manager functions as the Executive Director for the system, providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and client relationship management across 20+ hospital sites.
The role is responsible for ensuring predictable, reliable, and compliant delivery of HTM services, driving operational excellence, and maintaining strong governance with executive‑level client stakeholders.

Requirements:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Lead HTM/Clinical Engineering operations across a large, multi‑site hospital system.
- Develop and execute strategies that support business growth, operational performance, and service excellence.
- Ensure delivery of consistent, compliant, and high‑quality HTM services across all locations.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary executive‑level point of contact for the health system.
- Build and maintain governance structures, communication rhythms, and trusted relationships with senior clinical and administrative leaders.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of HTM professionals across multiple sites.
- Support succession planning and talent development to strengthen organizational capability.
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety programs across all sites.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Assess financial risks and opportunities, manage budgets, and communicate results to internal leadership and the client.
Technology & Cybersecurity Awareness
- Oversee the performance, lifecycle, and reliability of clinical equipment.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of cybersecurity risks and mitigation strategies related to medical devices and healthcare technology.
Qualifications/Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience building and maintaining executive‑level client relationships.
- Proven success leading multi‑site HTM operations and large, diverse teams.
- Understanding of cybersecurity considerations related to healthcare technology.
- Strong business acumen, decision‑making ability, and budget management experience.
- 7+ years of management experience in Healthcare Technology Management or Clinical Engineering within a large healthcare environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms and clinical asset management tools.
- Experience within an academic health system or large integrated delivery network.
- Professional certifications such as CHTM, CCE, or CBET (preferred, not required)
Work Environment:
- Occasional travel between hospital sites.
- Full‑time onsite presence required across the health system.
