Our client is seeking a Senior Construction Analyst (Project Accounting) to provide financial oversight and field accounting support for active construction projects across the organization. This role partners closely with field accountants, project managers, and materials specialists to ensure accurate cost tracking, invoicing, materials reconciliation, and project closeout. Strong construction accounting experience and proficiency with Oracle, Procore, and PowerPlant are essential.

Contract Duration: 6 months | W2

Location: Candidates must reside within a reasonable daily commuting distance (up to 1 hour) | Local Pittsburgh-area candidates are strongly preferred

Requirements:

  • Manage contractor invoicing, expense tracking, and financial reconciliations.
  • Coordinate field construction accounting activities, including cost tracking, budgeting, and materials management.
  • Support and evaluate field accountants and materials specialists assigned to construction projects.
  • Generate project financial reports and support project managers with real-time cost visibility.
  • Oversee temporary construction office administration, equipment, and field accounting processes.
  • Perform project closeouts, ensuring accurate documentation and financial completion.
  • Collaborate with internal partners on materials receipts, reconciliations, and financial accuracy.

Qualifications/Must-Haves:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in construction accounting, invoicing, cost tracking, or field accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle, Procore, PowerPlant, or similar construction financial systems.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to support field teams and resolve complex issues.

Preferred Skills:

  • 12–15 years of construction accounting or project controls experience.
  • Experience supporting pipeline, infrastructure, or energy-sector construction projects.
