Our client is seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Service Technician to support commercial and industrial clients across the Eastern Iowa region. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC systems, including hot water systems, DX units, chillers, cooling towers, VRV/VRF systems, and low‑voltage controls.

You'll work independently in the field, manage service calls, and support customers with high‑level technical expertise.

Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | Relocation Assistance: Limited (signing bonus negotiable)

Location: Des Moines, IA, with regional coverage across eastern Iowa, western Illinois, Missouri, and Minnesota

Requirements:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial/industrial HVAC systems.
  • Travel within assigned regional territory (overnights only when necessary)
  • Perform inspections, start-ups, commissioning, and preventive maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and team members.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation using company‑provided laptop/mobile tools.
  • Service hot water systems, DX units, chillers, cooling towers, VFDs, and VRV/VRF systems.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Valid driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid HVAC license and EPA 608 certification.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. and work in confined or elevated spaces.
  • 5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience.
  • Strong experience with hot water, DX, chillers, VRV/VRF, and low‑voltage controls.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Daikin VRV/VRF training or experience.
  • Technical school training or advanced HVAC certifications.
  • Willingness to travel within a multi‑city regional territory.
  • Experience with VFDs, industrial refrigeration, or large‑scale mechanical systems.
