Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery in a shop environment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands‑on experience with industrial equipment, and proficiency in welding, hydraulics, machining, and mechanical assembly. Occasional field service work may be required for on‑site customer support.

Location: Candidates must live within a reasonable daily commute (up to ~1 hour) | Dover‑area applicants strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Align shafts, motors, and gearboxes.
- Perform limited electrical wiring (motors, switches)
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Perform machining, grinding, polishing, and part fabrication.
- Complete field service visits to customer sites as needed.
- Fabricate, weld, and install new parts (TIG and Fusion welding required)
- Assemble, rebuild, and troubleshoot machinery, gearboxes, and mechanical components.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members and provide professional customer service.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues across hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Install and replace bearings, seals (mechanical/lip/packing), and related components.
Qualifications (Must‑Haves)
- Valid driver's license.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Intermediate English proficiency.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Welding experience required: TIG and Fusion.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with hydraulic assembly and troubleshooting.
- Machining experience (lathe, mill, grinding, polishing)
- Apprenticeship or equivalent hands‑on training highly valued.
- Ability to read blueprints and perform mechanical assembly/rebuilds.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic or similar role.
- Vocational/technical training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Systems, Welding, or related fields preferred.
- Associate degree in Mechanical Technology or Industrial Maintenance is a plus (not required)
Preferred Skills:
- Welding certifications (AWS TIG/Fusion)
- Additional machining or fabrication experience.
