About the job Swiss CNC Machinist – Medical Device Manufacturing
Our client is seeking an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Technician I to support CNC Swiss machining operations by running production equipment, performing in‑process inspections, completing required documentation, and maintaining a clean, compliant work environment. This role is essential to meeting production schedules, ensuring part quality, and supporting a regulated manufacturing environment.

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:00PM–10:30PM
Compensation: $20–$27 per hour, depending on experience (higher compensation considered for exceptional candidates)
Please Note: Local or regionally based candidates are strongly preferred. Exceptional non‑local candidates may be considered if they can self‑relocate immediately and commit to the onsite schedule.
Responsibilities:
CNC Swiss Machining & Production Support
- Perform straightforward tool offsets under supervision.
- Monitor basic tool wear and report issues to the lead or supervisor.
- Interpret job travelers, blueprints, and GD&T symbols to machine parts accurately.
- Operate CNC Swiss machines to meet production schedules and on‑time delivery requirements.
Inspection & Quality Compliance
- Follow established SOPs, SWIs, cGMP, GDP, and QMS requirements.
- Identify parts out of tolerance and communicate nonconformances appropriately.
- Perform in‑process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, vision systems, or CMM equipment.
- Complete production documentation, logs, and ERP transactions with accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
Equipment Care & Workplace Standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Support general manufacturing tasks as assigned.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic equipment care.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including OSHA and internal safety procedures.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of SOPs, SWIs, cGMP, GDP, and QMS requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and job‑traveler workflows; Epicor experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and maintain accuracy in a regulated environment.
- 1+ year of manufacturing or CNC machining experience (Swiss CNC experience strongly preferred)
- Hands‑on experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, vision systems, CMM)
