Our client is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to support safety operations across multiple active job sites. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and state/local regulations; conducting site audits; managing incident investigations; and leading safety training initiatives. This is a hands‑on, field‑based position ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic construction environments and is committed to maintaining a strong culture of safety.
Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance
Work Schedule: Part‑Time, 20–40 hours per week
Requirements:
Site Safety & Risk Management
- Develop and maintain site‑specific safety plans and procedures.
- Identify potential hazards on construction sites and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across multiple job sites.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with OSHA, DOT, and applicable state/local regulations.
Incident Management & Compliance
- Manage workers compensation reporting and case follow‑up.
- Perform root‑cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
- Investigate, document, and manage EHS incidents, near misses, and injuries.
- Maintain OSHA logs, certifications, incident reports, and regulatory documentation.
Training & Safety Programs
- Develop and deliver safety training for new hires and monthly safety meetings.
- Create safety materials, toolbox talks, and compliance‑focused training content.
- Support continuous improvement of safety management systems and best practices
Qualifications/Must-Haves:
- OSHA 30 Construction certification (required)
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in personnel‑related matters.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations specific to the construction industry.
- Experience with incident investigations, workers compensation, and safety documentation.
- Construction safety management experience in commercial construction environments.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an EHS‑related field OR a Bachelor's degree in EHS or a related discipline.
