Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery in a shop environment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands‑on experience with industrial equipment, and proficiency in welding, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assembly. Field service work may be required for on‑site customer support.

Location: Candidates must reside within a reasonable daily commuting distance (up to 1 hour) | Local Dover-area candidates are strongly preferred
Requirements:
- Align shafts, motors, and gearboxes.
- Perform limited electrical wiring (motors, switches)
- Complete field service visits to customer sites as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Perform machining, grinding, polishing, and part fabrication.
- Collaborate with team members and provide professional customer service.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues across hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Fabricate, weld, and install new parts as needed (TIG and Fusion welding required)
- Assemble, rebuild, and troubleshoot machinery, gearboxes, and mechanical components.
- Install and replace bearings, seals (mechanical/lip/packing), and related components.
Qualifications/Must-Haves:
- Valid driver's license.
- Intermediate English proficiency.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Welding experience required: TIG and Fusion.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with hydraulic assembly and troubleshooting.
- Machining experience (lathe, mill, grinding, polishing)
- Apprenticeship or equivalent hands‑on training highly valued.
- Ability to read blueprints and perform mechanical assembly/rebuilds.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic or similar role.
- Vocational or technical training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Systems, Welding, or related fields preferred.
- Associate degree in Mechanical Technology or Industrial Maintenance is a plus but not required.
Preferred Skills:
- Welding certifications (AWS TIG/Fusion)
- Additional machining or fabrication experience.
