Our client is seeking experienced Dealer Auditors responsible for conducting structured warranty audits across a network of franchised automotive dealerships. This role ensures consistent compliance with warranty policies, identifies areas of noncompliance, and supports corrective actions through detailed documentation review, data analysis, and clear communication with dealership personnel and internal stakeholders.

The position requires formal audit experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret automotive repair documentation. The Dealer Auditor must maintain objectivity, uphold professional audit standards, and ensure accuracy and fairness in all audit findings.

Contract Duration: 1–2 years (potential for contract‑to‑hire) | W2

Travel & Work Conditions:

  • Company‑provided vehicle for travel.
  • Hotel reimbursement when dealership visits exceed 90 minutes from home.
  • Work hours vary by region, dealership schedules, and travel requirements.
  • Field‑based role with travel to dealerships within approximately a 6‑hour radius of home.

Responsibilities:

  • Use data analytics to enhance audit effectiveness and predict compliance risks.
  • Support additional dealer network initiatives, including facility inspections and internal audit projects.
  • Identify noncompliance and initiate chargebacks in accordance with established warranty policies and audit guidelines.
  • Analyze warranty KPIs, claim patterns, and dealer performance trends to detect early indicators of risk or deviation.
  • Provide training, clarification, and support to dealership personnel to improve warranty compliance and reduce recurring violations.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis on repeat issues and recommend corrective actions to dealership and corporate stakeholders.
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of dealer warranty claim submissions, including detailed review of repair order documentation.
  • Prepare, deliver, and maintain all audit-related communications, including notification letters, audit reports, and required documentation.
  • Collaborate with dealership management, regional operations, and internal teams to ensure consistent application of warranty and dealer policy requirements.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Bachelor's degree (mandatory)
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office/O365.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and detail‑oriented skill set.
  • Understanding of franchised dealership operations and internal controls.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, travel schedules, and audit priorities.
  • 5–7+ years of combined experience in automotive retail operations (especially fixed operations), automotive technical systems/diagnostics/repair procedures, and warranty processes including documentation review and claim submission workflows.
  • Ability to navigate differing perspectives and build trust with dealerships and internal stakeholders.
  • Formal audit experience (mandatory); acceptable backgrounds include internal audit, compliance audit, operational audit, financial audit, warranty audit, or other structured audit environments.
