Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Nights) - 53680

Confident Staff Solutions is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team and work in the Med Surg unit at a healthcare facility in Pittsfield, MA. This is a temporary contract position with the potential for extension. As a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg unit, you will provide direct patient care and support to individuals who require medical and surgical treatment. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. This position requires a high level of critical thinking, communication, and clinical skills. Responsibilities: - Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs, symptoms, and changes in status - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician - Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans - Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques - Document patient care and progress in electronic medical records - Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families - Advocate for patients' needs and ensure their safety and well-being - Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions - Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff - Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations Qualifications: - Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts - Minimum of 1 year of recent Med Surg experience in a hospital setting - BLS certification - Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Flexibility to work night shifts and rotate weekends - Familiarity with electronic medical records systems We offer competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and ongoing support and training.
