Contract Details:
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The contract will be for a minimum of one year, with the potential for extension based on performance.
Job Description:
As the ICU Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the ICU department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. You will lead a team of dedicated nurses and work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of ICU nurses, providing guidance and support as needed
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations of the ICU department
- Monitor patient care and ensure compliance with established standards and protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and other departments to coordinate patient care
- Manage staffing and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and maintain budgetary goals
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to best practices and evidence-based care
- Serve as a liaison between the ICU department and other departments within the facility
- Handle any issues or concerns that arise within the department in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Nebraska
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an ICU setting
- Previous management or leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of current healthcare regulations and best practices
- BLS and ACLS certification required; CCRN certification preferred
