Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath lab

Salary: $112.00 per hour

8-hour shifts

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Cath lab nurse for a temporary 3-month contract in Rock Island, IL. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform pre-procedure assessments, including reviewing patient history and medications, and obtaining informed consent

- Monitor patients during procedures, including vital signs, EKG, and hemodynamic status

- Administer medications and IV fluids as ordered by the physician

- Assist with the insertion and removal of catheters and other equipment

- Collaborate with the physician and team to ensure the safe and effective completion of procedures

- Provide post-procedure care and education to patients and their families

- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

- Active RN license in the state of Illinois

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting

- BLS and ACLS certification

- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficiency in electronic medical records

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
