Confident Staff Solutions is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Des Moines, IA. As a Med Surg RN, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Job Responsibilities: - Assess and monitor patient's condition and vital signs - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement individualized care plans - Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment plans - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records - Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as needed - Monitor and ensure patient safety and comfort - Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible patient care - Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations - Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities - Maintain a clean and organized work environment - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members Qualifications: - Active RN license in the state of Iowa - Minimum of 2 years of experience in med-surg nursing - BLS and ACLS certification - Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices - Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities - Ability to work independently and in a team setting - Flexibility to work night shifts as needed - Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening We offer competitive pay and benefits, as well as a supportive and collaborative work environment.
