Job Description:

Confident Staff Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Des Moines, IA. As a RN in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), you will have the opportunity to provide specialized care to critically ill children and their families. This is a temporary contract position, providing you with the flexibility to work on your own terms.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess and monitor patients' conditions and vital signs, and administer medications and treatments as prescribed

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans

- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families

- Document patient progress and communicate with healthcare team members

- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

- Remain up-to-date on best practices and advancements in pediatric critical care nursing

Qualifications:

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

- BLS and PALS certifications

- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Flexibility to work various shifts and weekends as needed
