Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Rock Island, IL. This is a temporary/contract position, offering a competitive salary and flexible work schedule.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for providing quality patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical setting. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and provide education and support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with facility policies and procedures

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

- Monitor and document patient progress, including vital signs, symptoms, and reactions to treatments

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans

- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols

- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Qualifications:

- Active RN license in the state of Illinois

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical setting

- BLS certification

- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and work schedules
