Position: RN Labor & Delivery
Confident Staff Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN to join our team as a Labor & Delivery Nurse. This is a contract position located in Clovis, California.
As an RN Labor & Delivery, you will be responsible for providing direct and individualized nursing care to patients during labor and delivery. This includes monitoring the mother and baby's vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with the delivery process. You will also be responsible for educating and supporting new mothers and families during the postpartum period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and individualized nursing care to patients during labor and delivery
- Monitor and assess the mother and baby's vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the medical team
- Administer medications and assist with pain management during labor
- Assist with the delivery process, including monitoring fetal heart rate and coaching the mother during pushing
- Educate new mothers and families on postpartum care, including breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum recovery
- Collaborate with the medical team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families during the labor and delivery process
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of California
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in Labor & Delivery
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong knowledge of labor and delivery procedures and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and provide compassionate care in high-stress situations
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Contract Details:
This is a contract position located in Clovis, California. The duration of the contract is 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension based on performance and hospital needs. The schedule for this position may include day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekends and holidays.
