Our client is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Rock Island, IL. As a progressive care/stepdown nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients who are transitioning from critical care to a more stable condition.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs, lab results, and medication reactions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management and treatment plans
- Monitor and document patient progress and communicate any changes in condition to the healthcare team
- Assist with procedures and interventions as needed
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in progressive care or stepdown unit
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and rotate weekends as needed
