Our federal client is seeking a Cloud Architect to design, manage, and maintain their critical cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to support their production, development, and testing environments. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and optimize the existing AWS environment, including virtual machines, storage, and key management systems.
  • Implement cloud architecture solutions for new systems and applications as needed.
  • Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and load to ensure cost-effective and reliable operations.
  • Proactively resolve issues affecting system readiness or security.
  • Ensure the cloud environment complies with IT security directives, NIST SP 800-53, and other federal regulations.
  • Oversee key management activities, including encryption and key rotation using AWS KMS.
  • Collaborate with DevOps Engineer to support CI/CD systems, including Kubernetes, Docker, and Jenkins.
  • Ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud-hosted applications.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of the cloud infrastructure and provide technical guidance on cloud best practices.


KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role managing AWS environments.
  • Proven expertise in designing and managing large-scale, cloud-based systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and KMS.
  • Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of IT security principles, including encryption, patching, and incident response.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident with at least three years of continuous residency in the United States.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check.
