Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to identify and define project goals, objectives, scope, key deliverables, and risks.
  • Monitor the status of the project and manage changes to the scope baseline. Implement and manage changes to the project plan and scope in a controlled manner.
  • Create the overarching plan that integrates all subsidiary plans (scope, schedule, cost, resource, communications, risk, procurement, stakeholder engagement).
  • Work with stakeholders to progressively elaborate and define the project scope, creating logical activities to break down deliverables into manageable work packages.
  • Provide the specific activities required to produce deliverables and determine their logical order.
  • Construct the project schedule and identify the critical path. Monitor the status of project activities to update project progress and manage changes to the schedule baseline.
  • Estimate costs for all project activities and establish the project budget. Monitor the project budget and manage changes to the cost baseline.
  • Develop and implement project communication strategies to stakeholders.
  • Identify and plan hardware and services that needs to be procured.
  • Conduct risk management activities for the project. Identify, analyse (qualitative and quantitative), and plan
  • responses to risks (opportunities and threats). Continuously monitor identified risks, identify new risks, evaluate risk process effectiveness, and implement risk response plans.
  • Track, review, and report on project progress against the project management plan.

Requirements & Experience

  • Minimum 3-5+ years of demonstrable experience managing IT projects from initiation to closure in the banking & finance industry.
  • Experience in the typical five process groups of project management in the IT industry (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, Closing).
  • Experience with projects of varying size, complexity, and team structures.
  • Experience working with various project management methodologies.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a team towards project goals.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with all project stakeholders.
  • Managing expectations and resolving conflicts effectively.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
  • Proactive approach to anticipating and addressing issues.
  • Excellent ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adjust plans and strategies in response to changing project requirements or unforeseen challenges.
  • Skilled in negotiating with team members, stakeholders, vendors, and clients.
  • Facilitation skills for meetings and workshops.
  • Ability to mediate and resolve disputes constructively.
