English only! 3 months Contract! Deployment Engineer - Windows 11 [ Foreign Financial client] Tokyo

Computacenter is hiring Deployment Engineer for our financial client in Tokyo.

**Currently contract term will be 3 months only.**

Job Purpose:

To support the deployment of Windows 11 desktop and laptop devices, including preparation, delivery, installation, and decommissioning of legacy equipment as part of a structured rollout project.

Key Responsibilities:

Device Preparation & Deployment

• Prepare and build desktops, laptops, and thin clients with Windows 11.
• Deploy desktop devices to users' desks and coordinate drop-off/pick-up of laptops.
• Perform operating system upgrades and device swaps.
• Validate end user data via desk-side visits as part of user surveys.
• Provide quality assurance checks on all builds and deployments.

Inventory & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of devices and legacy hardware.
• Produce deployment reports and inventory updates.
• Generate physical deployment summary reports and nightly reports (success/failure analysis).
• Manage stock levels and coordinate hardware call-offs with logistics partners.

Legacy Equipment Handling

• Perform secure data wiping of legacy hardware using Blancco.
• Decommission and return legacy equipment to central storage for collection/disposal.

Logistics & Coordination

• Organize deliveries and liaise with Security and loading bays.
• Manage equipment movement and disposal of packaging in coordination with building management.
• Ensure timely updates and clear communication during shift handovers.

Skills & Requirements:

• Proven experience in Windows OS deployment and hardware installation.
• Familiarity with data wiping tools such as Blancco.
• Strong inventory and logistics coordination skills.
• Ability to work both day and night shifts as required.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage tasks independently

Shift Coverage:

• A Shift: 08:30 17:00 (1-hour lunch)
• B Shift: 15:00 23:30 (1-hour lunch)
  (Engineer may be scheduled for either shift as needed)

Language:

• English: Fluent (spoken and written)
• Japanese: Not required

Work Location:

This role will be based in Central Tokyo but may require visiting other location which are in Tokyo.
