Senior Legal Counsel (Part-time - hybrid)

20 hours per week, £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE), Bonus, Healthcare, Pension, Gym.

We are seeking a Head of Legal, reporting to the CEO at ComplianceOne Group level. This is a newly created position to manage all aspects of commercial and corporate legal matters for the company. We are a small start-up environment so it is therefore essential that the successful candidate is happy to manage the whole legal function from end-to-end and can hit the ground running. This is a London based hybrid / flexible working position.

Your role:

· Be an active business partner to the CEO, continually working to help solutions to take advantage of opportunities to support growth, increase efficiency and reduce costs.

· Advise the businesses and manage all corporate and commercial legal matters end-to-end.

· Apply business and legal judgement to proposed deals, relationships, and other issues requiring legal or compliance attention.

· Draft, refine and negotiate a wide variety of cross border commercial contracts, including partnership, technology licensing, SaaS and professional service agreements.

· Provide strategic legal advice to the CEO and VPs on a wide variety of areas, including commercial contracts, corporate matters, data protection, intellectual property, employment and disputes.

Preferred Skills:

· UK qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE

· Experience of standardisation, process and business improvement.

· Strong structuring, drafting and negotiating skills.

· Strong data protection experience.

· Ability to convey complex legal information in an understandable format.

· Experience in leading and finding risk based solutions to ensure the businesses can undertake complex transactions efficiently.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Highly proactive and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.

· Previous experience in a small start-up environment or the iGaming industry is an advantage.
